06/08 Timara Easter
Boyce, Glass, Peeters
Timara Easter was born and educated in St Albans. She studied with Geoff Symon, Peter Dyke, Kevin Bowyer, Jeremiah Stephenson and Naji Hakim; the latter made possible thanks to generous support from the Savinka Foundation. She has taken part in masterclasses with Matthew Martin and Henry Fairs. Timara is a prolific transcriber of music for the organ; in particular the piano music of Erik Satie, Louis Vierne and Claude Debussy, some of which is due to be published by Lyrebird Music.
As a freelance recitalist, she has performed in many major churches and cathedrals across the UK, including Liverpool, Chester, St Edmundsbury, Blackburn, Truro, St Albans, Southwark, Winchester and Coventry Cathedrals, Glasgow University Chapel, the Caird Hall in Dundee and several appearances at Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow.
Upcoming recitals in 2025 include Kings Lynn Minster, Ayr Town Hall, Waltham Abbey and St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh.
Away from music, she has a keen interest in real ale/cider and is an active member of CAMRA, as a regular volunteer at festivals and within her local branch.
